Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the Platform. These include:

• Mux — video hosting and streaming infrastructure
• Google AdMob / AdSense — advertising (free tier only)
• Cloud hosting providers — secure server infrastructure

All service providers are contractually required to protect your data and may only use it as directed by MayaVerse.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MayaVerse, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers

If MayaVerse is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services:

• Account data — retained until you delete your account, plus up to 30 days for backup recovery
• Purchase records — retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance
• Watch history — retained until you clear it or delete your account
• Crash and diagnostic logs — retained for 90 days
• Advertising data — retained for up to 13 months per advertising platform policies

We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect your information:

• All data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store plaintext passwords
• Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant)
• Access to user data is restricted to authorised personnel on a need-to-know basis
• We conduct regular security reviews of our systems and third-party dependencies
• Session tokens are rotated regularly and invalidated on logout

MayaVerse is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our Kids Zone content is curated for young audiences, but account creation requires a user aged 13 or older.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at askmayaverse@gmail.com. We will delete such information from our systems promptly.

We use cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session tokens) on our web platform. These fall into the following categories:

• Essential cookies — required for authentication, session management, and security. Cannot be disabled without breaking the service.
