Terms of Service

Welcome to MayaVerse. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and MayaVerse Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. ("MayaVerse", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the MayaVerse platform, including our website at mayaverse.net, mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By creating an account, downloading our app, or accessing any part of the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

MayaVerse is India's flagship OTT (over-the-top) platform offering:

• Video Streaming — Original and licensed anime, Donghua, cartoons, and animated series and movies.
• Digital Comics — Indian and international comics readable within the app, available for individual purchase or as part of a subscription.
• Live Events — Ticketed virtual and hybrid live events including screenings, premieres, and fan experiences.
• Kids Zone — Curated age-appropriate animated content for younger audiences.
• Partner Programme — Tools enabling content creators and studios to distribute and monetise content on MayaVerse.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

To access premium features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information updated. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately at askmayaverse@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access

You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or access restrictions, share your account with others, or use another person's account without their permission.

Subscription Plans

MayaVerse offers monthly and annual subscription plans (collectively, "Premium") that unlock ad-free streaming, early access to episodes, and exclusive content. Pricing is displayed at checkout and is subject to applicable taxes.

Billing

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) to your chosen payment method.
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe or in-app purchase mechanisms provided by Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• All amounts are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated.

Auto-Renewal

Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. Renewal charges will be applied to your payment method on file.

Price Changes

We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Your subscription will continue at the current rate until your next renewal date following the notice period.

MayaVerse offers a free, ad-supported tier ("Watch Free") that grants access to a curated library of content at no charge. By using the free tier, you agree that:

• Advertisements will be displayed before and during content playback.
• Ad content is served by third-party networks and is not controlled by MayaVerse.
• Your advertising identifier (e.g. Google Advertising ID) may be used for ad personalisation, subject to our Privacy Policy.
• Free tier access may be modified or discontinued at any time.

Upgrading to a Premium subscription removes all advertisements from video and comic content.

MayaVerse hosts ticketed live events. When purchasing tickets you agree that:

• Ticket purchases are final once confirmed. Refund eligibility is governed by the individual event's stated refund policy displayed at checkout.
• Tickets are non-transferable and may only be used by the purchasing account.
• We are not liable for technical issues beyond our reasonable control (e.g. power outages, connectivity issues on the user's side) that prevent attendance.
• In the event MayaVerse cancels an event, a full refund will be issued within 10 business days.

Individual comic issues and series may be purchased for permanent access within your account. By purchasing digital content you acknowledge:

• You are purchasing a limited, non-transferable licence to access the content, not ownership of the underlying work.
• Digital content is tied to your MayaVerse account and cannot be downloaded for offline use (unless explicitly offered).
• If content is removed from the Platform by a rights holder, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you; refund eligibility will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

All content on the MayaVerse Platform — including but not limited to animations, comics, artwork, audio, video, logos, software, and the MayaVerse brand — is owned by MayaVerse Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by Indian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not:

• Download, copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of any content without express written permission
• Use screen-recording software, bots, scrapers, or any automated means to capture content
• Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use MayaVerse branding, logos, or marks without prior written consent

You agree not to use MayaVerse to:

• Violate any applicable Indian or international law or regulation
• Circumvent geographical restrictions, DRM protections, or access controls
• Harass, threaten, impersonate, or harm other users
• Upload, transmit, or distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
• Use the Platform for commercial purposes without our written consent
• Post, share, or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, or infringes third-party rights

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination, at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice.

If you are a content creator or studio using the MayaVerse Partner Portal to upload and distribute content, additional terms apply:

• You warrant that you own or have all necessary rights to the content you upload.
• By uploading, you grant MayaVerse a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, stream, display, promote, and monetise your content on the Platform.
• Revenue sharing is governed by your partner agreement. Payouts are processed monthly for amounts above the minimum threshold.
• MayaVerse reserves the right to reject, suspend, or remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or our content standards.
• You are solely responsible for clearing all third-party rights (music, footage, voice) in your submitted content.

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MAYAVERSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill
• Service interruptions, errors, or security breaches beyond our reasonable control
• Content of third-party advertisements or linked external sites

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to MayaVerse in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us or using the in-app account deletion feature. Upon termination:

• Your access to premium content and purchased items will cease.
• We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy.
• Prepaid subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or our Refund Policy.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

For disputes involving amounts below ₹1,00,000, we encourage resolution through our customer support channel before initiating legal proceedings.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• Send a notification to registered users via in-app alert or email

Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
